RAWALPINDI:

Sidhu’s Gallery hosted a threeday exhibition, The Indus Dialogue, from October 15 to 17, showcasing the works of five Sindhi artists and highlighting the province’s cultural heritage and contemporary artistic expression. The exhibition featured works by Manzoor Hussain Mangi, M Hussain Chandio, Mohammad Rafique Soomro, Aijaz Hussain Talpur and Hajri Laal. Their artworks explored themes of cultural identity, tradition, heritage and the relationship between communities and their surroundings. The exhibition was organised under the leadership of Sidhu’s Gallery founder and CEO Asher Sidhu, with curator Maryam Manzoor overseeing the curation. The initiative aimed to provide a platform for artistic exchange and encourage engagement with Sindh’s cultural traditions through contemporary art. It brought together established and emerging artists, along with audiences interested in the region’s artistic heritage. The exhibition also highlighted the role of art galleries in preserving cultural memory while encouraging new interpretations of traditional themes and promoting cultural exchange between generations.
